Professor Collings is a Professor in the Discipline of Psychology, University of KwaZulu-Natal. He has extensive training and expertise relating to survey research and data analysis in the field of trauma and interpersonal violence. He has been involved in the development of psychometric instruments designed to assess the prevalence and psychological effects of trauma. Prof Collings successfully managed a project concerned with the dynamics and prevalence of child rape in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
