AFREhealth Symposium 2018

The African Forum for Research and Education in Health (AFREhealth) is pleased to announce that the Developing Research Innovation, Localisation and Leadership in South Africa (DRILL) programme will host the 2nd AFREhealth Symposium in Durban, South Africa from the 6th – 8th August 2018.

Theme: Towards Achieving Universal Health Coverage in Africa – Creating Synergies and Capacity through Education, Research and Quality Health Services

Guidelines for Workshop Proposals:

Please only use Arial plain font in 10 point

No graphic images, tables, graphs or columns should be submitted with your proposal

  2. Presenter/facilitator
  3. Affiliation/Organisation
  4. Proposal:  not more than 300 words
    1. Learning objectives: problem that your workshop will address. Specify what skills you expect participants to learn
    2. Short description for the programme: Provide a brief overview of your workshop session
    3. Format: Provide an outline of the methodology to be used in each section e.g. group discussions, case-studies, small group activities, etc.
    4. Materials: Specify the types of handouts or other resources that will be provided to attendees during the workshop, such as large sheets of paper for group work.
    5. Duration:  Not more than 90 – 120 minutes
